How to stop losing potential customers

November 12, 2010

It is hard to think of any business that would not benefit from having a website. If your business does not have a website, you risk losing potential customers every day.

Right now people are searching online for services like yours, only to find your website-owning competitors instead. Yes, it is still possible they will find your business through some other website. For example, a link directory. But, let’s face it; they are more likely to come across your online-savvy competition, putting money in their pockets instead of yours.

Look around and you will see that most of your website-owning competitors are not doing anything special. However, what they are doing is still enough to achieve a good foothold online, especially for local searches. Typically, their sites contain:

  • A list of services
  • An about page
  • Contact details
  • Testimonials
  • Portfolio

You could easily do the same. Easy, because you probably have all that information to hand anyway. It’s just a matter of pooling it together in a website and getting it out there. Then, before you know it, new customers will be finding you online—not your competitors.
